Kozak cancels order to switch railcars to tapered roller bearings
MOSCOW, Oct 31 (PRIME) -- Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak has ordered the Transport Ministry to cancel its order for all national owners of railcars to switch them to tapered roller bearings from 2021, Kozak’s spokesman Ilya Dzhus told reporters on Thursday.
“A principal decision was made to order the Transport Ministry to void the October 25, 2019 order of the Transport Ministry regarding a mandatory switch to tapered roller bearings from January 1, 2021,” he said.
The council of the railway transport of the CIS states earlier suggested a switch of all Russian cargo rail cars from rolling bearings to tapered roller bearings, and the Transport Ministry issued a corresponding order.
